Serbian Minister of Capital Investment Velimir Ilic and Head of the Coordinating Centre for Kosovo-Metohija Sanda Raskovic-Ivic signed today a protocol on assistance in resolving the housing issues of internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Kosovo-Metohija, worth approximately 115 million dinars.
According to the protocol, the Ministry of Capital Investment will in the next 12 months provide around 95 million dinars to construct 70 houses on the Badovac-Gracanica stretch for accommodating Serbs banished by ethnic-Albanians on March 17, 2004.
The protocol envisages the construction of indispensable infrastructure for supplying water to Novi Banovac, the costs of which are estimated at around 20 million dinars.
The protocol was signed at the Serbian government building, it is valid for one year and if the protocol ceases to be valid, it will not influence the construction and other scheduled works in any way.
