First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic assessed today that there is still room for the Caribbean countries to review decisions on the recognition of the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo-Metohija.
At a press conference, at which Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica Roosevelt Skerrit also took part, Dacic expressed his gratitude to his interlocutor for his personal courage and determination for his country to have a principled stance when it comes to Kosovo-Metohija. The Commonwealth of Dominica is the first Caribbean country to have withdrawn the recognition of Kosovo's independence.
He said that Serbia and the Commonwealth of Dominica also signed agreements on cooperation in the fields of agriculture, tourism, higher education and scientific research.
Dacic stressed that Serbia wants to work with the Caribbean countries, seeking common interests, and recalled that our country has abolished visas for the citizens of Dominica.
Skerrit said that his country's decision was firm and made on the basis of the principle of territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia, and that he wants his hosts in Belgrade to be convinced of his country's commitment to that issue.
