Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic pointed out today that the Criminal Police Academy, carrying on the ideas of Archibald Reiss as the founder of the first state police school in Serbia, has created a contemporary model of education, respecting the European and world standards.
Speaking at the opening of the international conference "Days of Archibald Reiss" held at the Criminal Police Academy, Dacic said that after the end of the First World War, in which he took part, Reiss remained in Serbia and worked on the establishment of police education.
He recalled that Reiss was a great connoisseur of the Serbian people and insisted that the founding of a police school was a precondition for modernisation of the police.
