Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, visited Srbijavode today, where he discussed with Srbijavode Director Goran Puzović and the management of this company the current state of water management, the readiness of the system and priorities for the coming period.

Macut was informed about the current hydrological situation in the territory of our country, the flood protection system, the modernisation of the water management system, and was also presented with strategic projects – the Selova Dam and the Svračkovo Dam, as well as key infrastructure projects and further investments in the water sector.
They also discussed investments in the framework of preparations for the upcoming Specialised Expo 2027, as well as projects that will contribute to greater citizen safety, stable water supply and agricultural development in the long term.
The Prime Minister noted that Srbijavode manages a complex system of national importance, which includes 43 dams with reservoirs, more than 2,100 km of embankments and almost 5,000 km of drainage channels.
Therefore, it is important to continue modernising the existing infrastructure and implementing new capital projects, he concluded.
