Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, visited today a mobile clinic in Mala Plana, in the municipality of Smederevska Palanka, where, together with Minister of Health Zlatibor Lončar, MD, he carried out preventive check-ups on residents and talked with locals about their health needs.

Mobile clinics important for strengthening primary healthcare

The mobile clinic is part of a project of the Ministry of Health, for the implementation of which the Government of the Republic of Serbia has allocated RSD 225 million.
The project involves the procurement and commissioning of 10 mobile clinics with state-of-the-art equipment, which will make healthcare more accessible to citizens in remote and rural areas.
The Prime Minister underlined that the goal of this project is to bring the healthcare system closer to citizens so that they can have basic, preventive and specialist check-ups in their own place of residence, without having to travel to distant healthcare facilities.
Macut stated that this will be a permanent campaign, with mobile clinics to be deployed in areas where they are most needed, in accordance with residents’ requirements, so that every citizen has equal access to quality healthcare.
