Sutanovac and Darabos agreed that military cooperation between Serbia and Austria is good and that it is increasing since there were 67 joint activities last year.
The ministers agreed that the Serbian Army has good cooperation with KFOR, which includes cooperation with Austrian Army.
Sutanovac said that Austria, although not a NATO member has 1,000 soldiers in the peacekeeping missions in the Balkans, of whom 607 are in Kosovo and the remaining in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Serbia's aim is also to take part in peacekeeping missions and make its contribution in the global security issue.
Sutanovac and Darabos also talked about introducing Serbian citizens on the "white Schengen list", which is a top state interest that deals with the country's defence system as well.
Darabos said that Austria endorses the plan of UN Special Envoy Martti Ahtisaari for Kosovo status, but that it also believes that Serbia has to take an active part in the resolution of that problem.
Darabos underlined that Austria supports Serbia's efforts to join the EU and added that a lasting peace will be achieved if countries come together in the EU or in other organisations.
