Parivodic and Lemiere agreed that sections of Corridor 10 must be finished as soon as possible, namely the Belgrade-Novi Sad, section from Leskovac to the Macedonian border and Nis-Dimitrovgrad.
In the field of energy, the priority is completion of thermoelectric power plant Kolubara B and introduction of private initiative in the field of energy, Parivodic said and added that EBRD voiced readiness to support development of the railway and of the securities market and the Belgrade Stock Exchange.
Lemiere said that EBRD will back new employments in Serbia and projects in the field of industry, banking, development of the private sector, of energy - production, distribution and saving, infrastructural projects - roads and railway, as well as water supply, waste management and transport.
Lemiere said that macro economic situation in Serbia is very good because the economy is recording a high level of growth and inflation is under control, and these are positive signals.
