The Serbian government’s Commission for Missing Persons handed over today the remains of 11 citizens of Bosnia-Herzegovina which were exhumed from the city graveyards in Sremska Mitrovica and Sabac, to the Institute of Missing Persons of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The remains are of unknown persons which were carried by the River Sava to Serbian territory in the period from 1991 to 1995, and where, after legal and medical procedures, they were buried in regular process.
After exhumations which were conducted in the graveyards mentioned, from 2002 to 2006, the identity of these persons was determined through DNA analysis.
