Serbian Assistant Minister of Health Ivana Misic visited two special hospitals in Sokobanja today and spoke with hospitals’ managements.
Misic visited Ozren special hospital for pulmonary diseases and tuberculosis in order to see the problems of health care and to see the investment needs of this hospital. She also visited Sokobanja special hospital to see the conditions of work there.
The Ministry of Health secured RSD 16.6 million for investments and RSD 2 million for equipment in the past three years for Sokobanja hospital.
Since 2004, RSD 1 million for equipment and RSD 5.2 million for investments were set aside from the budget for Ozren hospital.
The special hospital achieved major success in work with children and adults owing to its use of a unique combination of medicinal natural substances and modern medicine. The hospital has 100 beds and can receive 200 patients for general rehabilitation.
