Serbian Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government Zoran Loncar said yesterday that the Serbian government considers that it is important that NATO, at its upcoming summit to be held in Riga on November 28 and 29, brings a clear decision on respecting Serbia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, while examining the situation in the West Balkans.

In a statement to the news agency Tanjug, Loncar said that the Serbian government expects NATO officials to stress the fact that internationally recognised borders of all states in the region are unchangeable, and the UN Charter and principles of international law must be respected, which guarantee that Kosovo-Metohija is an integral and unalienable part of Serbia.
Considering the fact that the NATO, without the consent of the Security Council, took military action against Serbia, it is extremely important that the NATO unequivocally confirms the respect of Serbia’s territorial entirety, stressed Loncar.
