Bubalo, who leads the Serbian delegation, told the Tanjug news agency that it was agreed at the meeting that regional economic linking can facilitate the access of CEI members to the EU which are still not EU members, but that it depends on every individual country whether it will enter the EU.
Participants in the meeting pointed out to the benefit which all CEI members could have from the joint CEFTA agreement, because such market linking would boost the region's attractiveness for foreign direct investors.
He said this would allow for faster development, and reduce the gap between the development of EU member countries and countries aspiring to become EU members.
Bubalo said that this round table was a good opportunity to exchange information on the level of economic development reached by members of the CEI during the past few years.
The Minister said that the Serbian delegation in Tirana had a big number of bilateral meetings with ministers of various CEI member countries.
