In a statement to the Tanjug news agency, Miscevic said that the aim of her two-day visit to Slovenia is to show that once the talks on the Stabilisation and Association Agreement between Serbia and the EU resume, reform implementation in Serbia will be faster and the country will catch up with other Western Balkan states.
According to Miscevic, they also discussed the issue of translating the EU's legal rules, possibilities for improving communication and the transparency of the entire integration process.
She added that Slovenian officials presented their experiences in the EU integration process, including positive and negative elements.
Miscevic delivered a lecture at the Ljubljana Faculty of Social Sciences themed "Serbia in the EU Integration Process".
She said she is pleased that so many students were interested not only in the political situation in Serbia, but also in its everyday life, plans for the future and its progress in achieving EU standards.
Miscevic announced she will meet tomorrow with representatives of the Slovenian foreign affairs ministry. This meeting will be the first discussion with colleagues who will be engaged during Slovenia's EU presidency scheduled for the first half of 2008.
