Serbian Minister of Trade, Tourism and Services Bojan Dimitrijevic said today that foreign investors are interested in buying health resorts in Serbia, because of which their privatisation should be accelerated.
In a statement to the news agency Tanjug, from the London tourism fair, Dimitrijevic said that representatives of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) told him that foreign investors intend to participate in the privatisation of health resorts in Serbia.
He said that he talked with British wine distributors, who are interested in helping with the promotion and sale of Serbian wines in Great Britain. He also spoke to representatives of the BBC on the possibility of promoting Serbia as a tourist destination, considering the fact that the realisation of the project will be discussed as part of the National Investment Plan.
The Minister pointed to the fact that Serbia’s stand at the tourism fair in London got a considerable amount of attention, and added that concrete results of presenting Serbia’s tourist offer at the fair will be seen within two or three months.
