The Minister said that next year works will be intensified and that the priority is the construction of the Horgos-Pozega highway. The works will be performed simultaneously in three locations - from Subotica to Novi Sad, at the exit from Belgrade, and on the section from the Celije monastery in Valjevo to Belgrade.
Ilic stated that negotiations are underway on the construction of the section from the cloverleaf in Leskovac to the Macedonian border, ie, continuation from the Nis-Dimitrovgrad highway, and the construction of a ring road around Subotica and Belgrade and the road to Pozega.
According to Ilic, the construction of a highway to Montenegro is also very important because the connection of Central Europe with the Adriatic is of great importance.
Works on the left lane of the Novi Sad-Belgrade highway were conducted by a consortium made of companies Alpina Mayreder (Alpina Belgrade), road company Belgrade and Vojput from Subotica.
