Macut and Minić discussed improving cooperation in the areas of health, education, science, infrastructure, economy and transport connectivity, as well as continuing the implementation of joint development initiatives.
The Prime Minister of Serbia stated that politics must be measured by concrete results and emphasised that the goal of joint action is the implementation of projects that bring direct benefits to citizens.
He pointed out that the infrastructural connection of Serbia and Republika Srpska is one of the priorities, because every new road, bridge or transport link contributes to faster development, a stronger economy and a better quality of life.
The Prime Minister also pointed out the importance of cooperation in the field of science and higher education, assessing that investing in knowledge is the most important investment a society can make, and that there is room for more intensive connection of universities, scientific institutions and researchers through joint projects.
Macut also emphasised the importance of strengthening cultural and educational cooperation through support for the exchange of pupils, students, artists and scientists, as well as through the preservation of a common language, tradition and cultural heritage.
He said that Serbia will continue to be a reliable and strong support for Republika Srpska, with whose institutions it will develop partnership relations based on mutual respect, responsibility and a shared vision of development.
The meeting was also attended by Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Aleksandra Sofronijević, Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation Academician Professor Bela Balint, MD, DSc, Minister without portfolio in charge of coordinating activities and measures in the field of relations with the diaspora Đorđe Milićević, Acting Director of the Science Fund Professor Darija Kisić, MD, DSc, and Ambassador of Serbia to Bosnia and Herzegovina Ivan Todorov.
The delegation of the Republika Srpska government included Minister of Scientific and Technological Development and Higher Education Draga Mastilović, Minister of Traffic and Communications Zoran Stevanović, Assistant Minister of Spatial Planning, Civil Engineering and Ecology Dragan Jevtić and Assistant Minister of European Integration and International Cooperation Helena Krnetić.
