Minister of Culture Nikola Selaković stated today, at the plenary session of the World Youth Development Forum in Wuhan, that Serbia recognises youth policy as one of its state priorities.
In his address on the topic "Youth Drive Development for a Better World", Selaković said that Serbia, through the National Youth Strategy for the period from 2023 to 2030, is simultaneously building programmes for young people and the future together with them.
He added that Serbia is firmly committed to supporting the role of young people, including international cultural cooperation, in accordance with the framework and values of UNESCO.
The Minister pointed out that Serbia’s key efforts are aimed at systematically increasing employment, strong support for youth and the creative industry, the development of non-formal education that follows modern technological trends, solving housing issues, and comprehensive care for the health and quality of life of young people.
The forum among young political leaders from the People's Republic of China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe is attended by more than 400 participants from more than 130 countries.
