Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dačić chaired today a session of the Emergency Response Team, which discussed the critical hydrological situation caused by the historically low water level of the Danube, its consequences for the functioning of the Danube-Tisa-Danube Hydrosystem and possible measures to mitigate them.

Dačić, who is also the commander of that team, emphasised that this issue is a matter of engagement of the entire state system in order to use all available capacities and minimise the consequences to the smallest possible extent.
The Emergency Response Team noted that the current hydrological situation requires continuous monitoring and coordinated action by all competent institutions.
The Team recommended that the competent authorities, the Public Enterprise Vode Vojvodine, the Public Enterprise Srbijavode and other competent institutions continue to take measures to ensure the functioning of the Danube-Tisa-Danube Hydrosystem, mitigate the consequences of the historically low water level of the Danube and provide a stable water supply to the system's users.
