Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić assessed today that Serbia's participation in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) summit in Manila was successful and that all goals set were achieved.

Đurić explained that these goals are the further strengthening of support for Serbia's territorial integrity and sovereignty among Southeast Asian partners, opening concrete talks on the participation of those countries in the Belgrade Expo 2027, as well as improving bilateral cooperation through a series of meetings with important countries in the wider region.
The head of Serbian diplomacy concluded that Serbia managed to present itself at the summit in Manila as an active and reliable partner, open to cooperation and focused on the future.
He underlined that Serbia wants to build partnerships with Southeast Asian countries, which it considers countries of the future, recalling the long tradition of cooperation from the Non-Aligned Movement period and the support that our country provided to the development of individual countries in the post-colonial period.
