On this occasion, he emphasised that a Serbia that preserves its roots is a Serbia that is surely building its future.
Traditional and artistic crafts are not just a memory of the past, but also proof that tradition can be the basis of modern entrepreneurship, a source of new jobs and opportunities for the development of local communities, said the Prime Minister, adding that the government has allocated more than RSD 13 million for this programme.
According to him, these funds will be used to purchase equipment and raw materials, in order to enable craftsmen and artists to be more competitive in the market and at the same time preserve the authenticity of their products.
From potters and opanak makers to weavers, saddlers, coppersmiths and manufacturers of souvenirs and art objects, you are the guardians of skills that have been passed down through generations, and our task is to ensure that these skills have a future, said the Prime Minister.
