Đurić noted that 35 different documents, including two joint statements, 23 interstate agreements and 10 documents on cooperation in the field of media, have been signed.
He added that there was also talk of mutual support in international organisations, where Serbia enjoys the principled, but firm and concrete, almost daily support of the People’s Republic of China in the UN, when it comes to Kosovo and Metohija, our territorial integrity and sovereignty.
In reference to the thematic session of the UN Security Council, dedicated to the role of the UN, the UN Charter and international law, the Chinese side expressed its gratitude to Serbia, added the head of Serbian diplomacy.
The Minister said that the Chinese side assessed the contribution of the Serbian delegation as significant, namely the fact that Serbia firmly and consistently stands on the principles of the inviolability of borders, respect for the UN Charter, peaceful resolution of disputes and non-interference in the internal affairs of sovereign states.
Đurić pointed out that there was also talk of economic cooperation that opens up potential for future generations in Serbia, both through the Free Trade Agreement, where Serbia is the only European country with a valid agreement with China, and through the construction of infrastructure, namely through the recently signed agreement on the construction of a section of the Vožd Karađorđe motorway, which will better connect central and southern Serbia.
