The Prime Minister emphasised that economic cooperation between Serbia and the Czech Republic, which has been developing dynamically in recent years, is very good and characterised by increasing trade in goods and services, with Czech investors increasingly investing in Serbia.
According to him, Serbia is committed to further strengthening economic cooperation, particularly in the fields of energy and mining, transport and infrastructure, agriculture, tourism and the automotive industry.
The field of high technologies can also serve as a platform for building new bridges of cooperation, the Prime Minister noted.
He expressed gratitude to his interlocutor for the position that Serbia should become a full member of the European Union, as well as for the announcement that he would personally advocate for this.
Macut also stated that the opening of the Czech House in Belgrade in 2024, as well as the registration in the cadastre of the Jindřichovice Memorial – a former Austro-Hungarian concentration camp for Serbs – through which Serbia obtained a title deed, represent further confirmation of the fraternal and close relations between the two peoples.
