Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić talked today with US Assistant Secretary of State Brendan Hanrahan about improving bilateral cooperation, regional stability, and specific projects in the field of energy.
At the meeting, held at the end of his visit to Washington, Đurić emphasised the importance of continuous and open dialogue with US officials, which builds trust and contributes to a better understanding of common interests in times of complex global challenges.
The interlocutors discussed specific projects to be implemented in 2026, including plans for joint activities in the field of cultural cooperation.
The meeting served as an opportunity to exchange views on regional issues and reaffirm Serbia's commitment to peace and stability.
In the previous period, Serbia has shown that it remains a factor of stability, and concrete proposals for better connecting the Balkan region and the potential role of the United States in that process were also discussed.
Đurić also addressed the position of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, emphasising that the protection of the Christian heritage in Kosovo is an issue of essential importance for Serbia.
