Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, spoke today with new Ambassador of Ukraine to Belgrade Oleksandr Lytvynenko, whom he welcomed and wished the continuation of good and successful cooperation established with previous ambassadors.
Stressing the importance of bilateral relations, Macut assessed that the two countries have room for strengthening cooperation in various areas of mutual interest.
The Prime Minister said that Belgrade is following the developments in Ukraine with particular attention, especially the consequences for the civilian population and the difficult humanitarian situation.
Serbia, he added, will continue to provide humanitarian aid to the vulnerable population, in accordance with its capabilities – donations in the form of financial resources, medical and electrical equipment.
The Ambassador expressed gratitude for everything Serbia has done so far to help the Ukrainian people.
