During the meeting, which was held on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, Đurić reiterated his concern about the activities of Zagreb, Tirana and Priština and the achievement of the latest agreement, which represents more than military-technical cooperation, pointing out that such decisions do not contribute to the stability of the region.
He stressed that the engagement of KFOR is crucial for maintaining security in Kosovo and Metohija and in the entire region, and added that Serbia expects KFOR, in accordance with its mandate, to continue to act to prevent any violation of the security situation on the ground and to protect the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, who are in an extremely difficult position due to Priština’s repressive moves.
The Minister reiterated that Serbia remains committed to dialogue in order to ensure lasting peace and stability in the region, emphasising that Priština’s refraining from unilateral moves and provocations is a prerequisite for returning to dialogue, for which the support of the international community, including NATO, is necessary.
According to him, Serbia will continue to build the position of a responsible, reliable and predictable partner of NATO, with the aim of achieving common interests and preserving peace and stability in the region.
