Macut emphasised that these programmes represent the state’s strategic commitment to supporting those who, through their own work, contribute to the country’s economic development.
The Prime Minister underlined that today’s presentation of resolutions confirms that the state of Serbia provides systematic support to women entrepreneurs and preserves traditional and artistic crafts.
These are not merely financial assistance programmes, but investments in sustainable economic development, employment and the preservation of Serbia’s identity. Our goal is for those who create value to have clear and reliable support from the state, the Prime Minister said.
Macut also pointed out that women entrepreneurs are an important pillar of the development of small and medium-sized enterprises and the strengthening of local communities, noting that RSD 204 million has been allocated this year for the Programme to Support Women’s Entrepreneurship.
Speaking about crafts, the Prime Minister stressed that the state seeks to preserve, develop and adapt traditional and artistic crafts to the modern market, adding that 256 artisans applied for this programme this year, which clearly indicates strong interest and confidence in state measures.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Adrijana Mesarović noted that the resolutions were presented under two important programmes – the Programme to Incentivise the Development of Entrepreneurship through Financial Support for Women’s Entrepreneurship and the Programme to Support Business Entities in the Field of Traditional and Artistic Crafts and Home-Based Handicrafts.
Although different in structure, these two programmes are linked by a shared idea – preserving, strengthening and developing what makes Serbia strong: its people, its traditions and its future, the Minister emphasised.
Mesarović added that the Ministry of Economy will continue to provide concrete and continuous support to women entrepreneurs and artisans.
