Minister of European Integration Nemanja Starović said in Jerusalem that Serbia remains firmly and unequivocally committed to the fight against antisemitism, historical revisionism and any form of relativisation of the Holocaust.
At the IHRA plenary session, Starović strongly condemned the rise of antisemitism worldwide, including the recent terrorist attack in Sydney, emphasising that silence and tolerance of extremism are just as dangerous as the hate crimes themselves.
The Minister said that Serbia remains deeply committed to preserving the truth about the Holocaust and the genocides committed in World War II, with clear opposition to any form of denial, minimisation or distortion of historical facts.
He emphasised that the culture of remembrance is not a matter of political choice, but a civilizational obligation, and the fight against antisemitism, hatred and extremism must be joint, clear and uncompromising – in the interest of the dignity of the victims and the values of a modern democratic society.
