During a meeting with French Minister Delegate for Europe Benjamin Haddad, on the sidelines of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Vienna, Đurić noted that Serbia highly appreciates France’s strong support for its European path, particularly the opening of Cluster 3.
He underlined that the European Commission reiterated in its Serbia 2025 Report that the country is fully prepared for the opening of this cluster, which additionally encourages Serbia’s efforts in the accession process.
Đurić and Haddad also discussed the current situation regarding oil company Naftna Industrija Srbije (NIS) and Serbia’s efforts to resolve it.
Today, on the sidelines of this meeting, Đurić also met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Maka Botchorishvili.
On that occasion, the head of Serbian diplomacy emphasised that Serbia attaches great importance to the further development of relations with Georgia and the deepening of overall cooperation.
He said that Serbia is strongly determined to further improve bilateral cooperation, based on traditionally friendly and close ties with Georgia, primarily by intensifying political dialogue at the highest and high level.
According to him, the opening of the Serbian Embassy in this country is also of particular importance, which will further strengthen political dialogue and improve economic and other cooperation between the two countries.
Đurić also held a meeting today with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus Constantinos Kombos, during which the decades-long friendship and brotherly relations between the two countries, based on mutual support on issues of the greatest national importance, were once again confirmed.
The head of Serbian diplomacy informed his Cypriot counterpart about the latest moves of the Albin Kurti regime and the obstruction of the participation of the Serbian List in the elections.
He stressed that the integration of the Western Balkans into the EU is a guarantee for prosperity and stability, not only of the region but also of Europe as a whole, expressing hope that Cyprus will continue to support Serbia on its path to European integration, especially during its presidency of the Council of the EU in the first half of 2026.
On the sidelines of this meeting, Đurić also spoke with US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Incumbent Brendan Hanrahan about priority issues in the field of bilateral cooperation, the situation in the region and current international topics.
The Minister referred to the role and importance of the OSCE in the circumstances of changes in the structure of the international system, emphasising the importance of peace processes in which the United States plays a leading role.
Đurić informed his interlocutor about the situation in Kosovo and Metohija, expressing deep concern regarding the security of Serbs and attempts to limit basic political rights such as participation in the electoral process.
The interlocutors also discussed the current situation regarding NIS and the efforts that Serbia is making to resolve this issue.
