Serbian Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government Zoran Loncar said today that the government plans to set aside €10 million from the National Investment Plan to support projects in 11 municipalities in the north of Banat and Backa.
Loncar and Minister of Economy Predrag Bubalo met today with presidents of northern Banat and Backa municipalities, after which the Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government said that the government will invest in all parts of the country, noting that there is not one reason to neglect these 11 municipalities either.
He said he expects the results of today’s talks to be seen shortly and also scheduled the next meeting with representatives of these 11 municipalities for September.
Bubalo said that thanks to successful privatisation of Mobi 63, the size of funds in the National Investment Plan is bigger than planned. He also confirmed that all funds from the Mobi 63 sale will be used for investment and added that the list of accepted projects submitted by these 11 municipalities will be published in September.
