Ilic said that Transportation Institute CIP was engaged to prepare project documentation for the building of a new bridge over the Danube near Vinca.
According to him, the Serbian government should decide next week to continue works on the ring road near Ostruznica and to set aside €30 million for the ring road whereas another €20 million will be provided from loans.
The Minister announced that he will talk with Belgrade local authorities in days-to-come on building a ring road around Kalemegdan Fortress and a bridge on the Danube, as these are large and very important investments for the capital.
He confirmed that reconstruction of Gazelle bridge is also planned but noted that if this bridge is closed, there would be traffic chaos since around 160,000 vehicles commute on it daily.
Ilic said that the authorities are aware of the existing problems, but also that experts need to give a proposal for traffic regulation so that any works could start.
