Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić held an informal meeting today in Belgrade with Croatian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman.
On this occasion, various aspects of the implementation of the Dayton Agreement were discussed, with a high degree of agreement being reached on the need to ensure equality of all three peoples through political processes, as well as full respect for the competences of the entities - Republika Srpska and the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in accordance with the Dayton structure.
The ministers also discussed models for improving interstate cooperation and continuing work on the dual-track principle, which implies simultaneously developing current and future cooperation projects and resolving open issues from the past.
Đurić stressed that fostering good neighbourly relations is one of the priorities of Serbia's foreign policy, highlighting the importance of working to improve transport and other cross-border connections.
He supported the acceleration of the work of the coordinators and mixed commissions for open issues, adding that Serbia is interested in improving mutually beneficial cooperation with Croatia, on equal footing, as well as in strengthening political, economic and other relations, while constantly improving the position of the Serbian people in Croatia and the Croatian people in Serbia.
