Prime Minister Miloš Vučević announced that at today's meeting of the Social and Economic Council, an agreement was reached that the minimum salary for 2025 will be RSD 53,592 per month, which is 13.7% more compared to this year.
Addressing the media after the Council session, Vučević pointed out that together with trade unions and employers, an agreement has been reached on the minimum monthly wage, noting that the mentioned amount covers the minimum consumer basket for the first time.
The Prime Minister specified that the minimum price of work will be RSD 308 per hour, while this year's minimum in euros is 404, and next year it will be 457.
This is a significant, double-digit increase again with all these circumstances that are happening in the world, the region and of course in Serbia. I think this is a serious economic result, he emphasised.
According to him, care was taken not to jeopardize the growth of the gross social product, the work of employers, the number of companies, jobs and budgetary and fiscal stability, as well as not to stop the largest investments.
First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Siniša Mali assessed that it is a big thing that the decision on the minimum wage was made by consensus of employers, trade unions and the government.
It is a big thing that we managed to cover the minimum consumer basket from May with the minimum earnings, which was the demand of the trade union and our big goal, Mali said.
