Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Đedović Handanović spoke today with Naftna Industrija Srbije (NIS) CEO Kirill Tyurdenev about the company’s operations, as well as plans for the production and processing of oil derivatives in August.
Đedović Handanović emphasised that efforts are being made to ensure that NIS produces at its maximum capacity and meets the demand, which is at a record level in August and is estimated at approximately 200,000 tonnes of diesel fuel, the most widely consumed fuel.
According to current production and available quantities of crude oil that NIS has and that the refinery can process, the supply will be stable and orderly.
Tyurdenev pointed out that NIS processes an average of 11,000 tonnes per day, and that steps are being taken to increase production to 13,000 tonnes per day in the coming period.
