In the presence of President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, the first factory for humanoid robots in Serbia and the region was opened today in Šabac under Chinese company Minth’s project in which €20 million was invested in the first phase.

Opening of humanoid robot factory in Šabac marks Serbia’s leap into future

President Vučić and the company’s Founder, Qin Ronghua, officially opened the factory after jointly placing the serial number on the first robot produced at the facility.
At the ceremony, Vučić said that, at a time of rapid technological development, Serbia must not fall behind the world’s leading powers and must adapt to the new technological era, adding that the opening of the robot factory in Šabac represents Serbia’s leap into the future.
He expressed hope that more than 5,000 robots would initially be assembled at the factory each year, with production to follow later, emphasising that this will elevate Serbia to a new level and enable it to compete with the world’s most developed countries.
We are opening a new era for Serbia and creating jobs, the President said, describing the project as a historic and pioneering step into the future for the country.
Qin noted that the company has now opened an assembly line for the production of humanoid robots, but also intends to expand its product range to include unmanned aerial vehicles and the most advanced and sophisticated batteries.
The investment in the first phase of the robotic production base in Šabac amounts to €20 million. In the coming period, the company also plans to build a Robotics Industrial Park in Inđija, with a total planned investment of €200 million.
Upon completion of the project, the planned annual production capacity will reach up to 20,000 humanoid robots and robotic dogs, intended for markets across Europe and the rest of the world.
