Prime Minister Ana Brnabic stated today that the average salary for December last year in Serbia will be higher than €600.
Speaking on TV Happy, Brnabic stated that this will be determined in a few days when the results for the average December salary will be released, and added that Serbia, despite the pandemic, has an unemployment rate of 10% and an economy first or second in Europe.
She also said that citizens can count on the help of the state in these most difficult times of the pandemic, adding that the payment of €100 of help to young people begins today.
According to her, in Serbia, despite the pandemic, factories have not closed, but new projects are starting and investments that have already begun are continuing.
The Prime Minister said that Serbia has developed and that its economy has strengthened, but that there are still so many things that need to be done.
Brnabic pointed out that it is important to maintain security and stability, and assessed that the key elections for that are on 3 April.
She also stated that Reuters announced last week that the large American investment fund Brighton Park Capital invested $140 million in one of our IT companies.
I believe that next week we will have another great news – that our diaspora in Silicon Valley will establish an investment fund only for our companies, the Prime Minister announced.
According to her, our exports in the IT sector last year were approximately €1.8 billion, and this year they will probably exceed two billion.
Speaking about the assistance that Serbia provides to the region, the Prime Minister emphasised that our country sent assistance to Mostar in the form of PCR tests last week, noting that this is a sufficient amount for one year of testing.
