Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, visited today the Belgrade 44 substation in Surčin, stating that Serbia will continue to invest in energy infrastructure, which is one of the foundations of economic development, new investments and a better quality of life for citizens.

Macut stressed that, thanks to this substation, the construction of which took less than a year, the capacities of the distribution network have more than doubled and more reliable power supply has been provided for Surčin and surrounding settlements, but also the conditions have been created for new investments and further development of this part of Belgrade.
According to him, the special importance of this substation is reflected in the fact that it will be crucial for powering the Expo 2027 complex and the National Stadium, which, as he stated, shows that all major projects are not just concrete and steel, but also consist of strong and modern infrastructure.
