Aleksandar Cotric
According to Cotric, the Hungarian Constitution guarantees that right, however, since the adoption of the law recognising 13 national minorities in 1993, these minorities have still not been allowed to have their political representatives in the parliament in Budapest.
The Deputy Minister and Serbs in Hungary also touched on the issue of a census of the Serb diaspora, conducted by the Serbian government. He explained that the census will not only count Serbian citizens living abroad, but also Serbs with foreign citizenship.
According to Cotric, estimates show that there are around 10,000 Serbs living in Hungary, and around 4 million in the entire diaspora.
