Djuric said that this decision is proof that the word of the Republic of Serbia is respected, that the Serbian government enjoys credibility in the international community and that substantial results have been achieved in its cooperation with the ICTY.
The model of voluntary surrender chosen by the government has yielded additional results too, since a considerable number of indictees have been granted pretrial releases, Djuric said.
The head of the Office of Media Relations reiterated that the Serbian government is firmly committed to cooperating with the ICTY and is convinced that it will be completed successfully.
