Welcoming the participants in the seminar, Stojkovic said that the fight against corruption, as an organised and lengthy process, is one of the priorities of the Serbian government. The adoption of a national anti-corruption strategy is a precondition for starting the systematic fight against this social evil. He said that the strategy envisages concrete measures that will drastically reduce corruption, as well as deadlines for their implementation.
The recommendations of the national anti-corruption strategy will be formally laid out in an action plan that will pinpoint specific activities and the bodies that will carry them out. The formation of a specialised anti-corruption body is also planned, the Minister of Justice said.
