Belgrade/Bratislava, April 7, 2005 –Serbian Minister of International Economic Relations Milan Parivodic, who is on a three-day visit to Slovakia, had talks yesterday with Slovakian Minister of Labour, Social Affairs and Family Ludovit Kanik and Minister of Health Rudolf Zajac on reforms of the social, pension and health systems.

The meeting with Slovakian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Pavol Ruska was dedicated to economic cooperation between Serbia and Slovakia.
The three-day visit of the delegation of the Serbian Ministry of International Economic Relations to Slovakia, besides bilateral cooperation, is above all aimed at exchanging experiences of economic reforms and attracting foreign investments. In the last two years this country has begun very ambitious reforms, which received praise of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank in their reports for 2004, as a transition country which has made the most progress in reforms.
Minister Parivodic will continue his visit to Slovakia today with talks with Slovakian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Ivan Miklos.
