Serbian Minister of Capital Investment Velimir Ilic and Czech Minister of Transport and Communications Milan Simonovsky have signed an agreement which will provide Czech support to the modernisation of Serbia’s transportation network.
According to Ilic, Belgrade will receive a Czech study for regulating transport in the capital city. He went on to say that the Czech Republic is interested in building a highway from Kragujevac to Batocina.
Ilic also said that the Czech partners are interested in electrification of the Nis-Dimitrovgrad and Pozega-Stalac railroads as well as investment in Belgrade’s rail connections.
The two ministers also discussed a €6.7 million deal for locomotives made in 2003.
