According to Djordjevic, €25 million will be used to change transportation and removal of by-products from the Nikola Tesla B thermal plant in Obrenovac, in a move to improve the quality of living to some 18,000 people.
€5.3 million will be invested in the overhaul of the Kostolac A thermal plant, while €350,000 will be invested in the Kostolac B thermal plant, Djordjevic said.
He added that environmental protection is among EPS’ priorities and noted that it will take at least €1 billion and ten years to complete the project.
The signing was attended by head of the European Commission delegation to Serbia-Montenegro Josep Lloveras, Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy Radomir Naumov and Director of the Administration for Environmental Protection Miroslav Nikcevic.
