Giorgio Napolitano and Ivica Dacic
Dacic underlined that Italy is very satisfied with Serbia’s constructive approach to dialogue with Pristina and that it welcomes Serbia’s decision to resume dialogue and thus solve all outstanding issues.
I think that with this visit we reaffirmed once more all the closeness between Serbia and Italy, the Prime Minister stated, adding that strategic partnership is always the main topic of talks with Italian officials.
He pointed out that there is a great level of understanding between Serbia and Italy and that Italy is one of the large EU countries which had the most sympathy for all the difficulties Serbia has been facing all these years, and it has always been against putting new conditions before our country.
Dacic underscored that in this sense Serbia is greatly indebted to Italy, and that economically relations are very developed and that is why Italy is Serbia’s third largest trade partner.
The idea is to additionally increase the volume of foreign trade, he said, adding that a session of the Italian-Serbian Business Council will be held in Belgrade in February next year.
The main idea is to enable the realisation of important investments in Serbia next year, Dacic pointed out, who
wrapped up his visit to Italy with the talks with Napolitano.
Yesterday Dacic held a meeting with
representatives of the Italian Businessmen’s Club, which included 15 most prominent Italian businessmen.
