Dragutinovic underlined that it is Serbia’s determination to continue implementing customs reform, reconstructing infrastructure and simplifying procedures and regulations, adding that proof of this is the Law on customs, adopted in May 2010, and harmonised with EU standards.
Mikuriya praised the cooperation between the Customs Administration and businesspeople, stressing that cooperation is a road to a more efficient business sector.
He noted that Serbia’s progress in this field has been observed by EU institutions, recalling that the cooperation between Serbian customs organs and businesspeople was positively assessed in this year’s report of the European Commission.
State Secretary of Finance Miodrag Djidic and Director of the Customs Administration Predrag Petronijevic also attended the meeting, the statement adds.
