The topic of the meeting was present and future cooperation with CoE institutions and bodies, in the light of the announced development of European relations.
Dacic stressed that the government managed to improve international relations, bring the country closer to EU integration and efficiently oppose organised crime.
Jagland said he is pleased with the talks he had in Serbia, with Serbia’s progress in getting closer to the Council of Europe’s legal and social standards, as well as with the transition to a new stage of dialogue with the Council of Europe.
They jointly concluded that Serbia achieved considerable progress in combating organised crime and corruption, as well as succeeding in strengthening institutions that protect citizens and human and minority rights.
