Ciplic meets with Portuguese Ambassador

Minister for Human and Minority Rights Svetozar Ciplic talked today with Portuguese Ambassador to Serbia Luis de Almeida Sampaio.
The Ministry said in a statement that Ciplic and Sampaio discussed the previous and upcoming diplomatic visits by Portuguese statesmen to Serbia, which reflect the close relationship between the two countries.
The Portuguese Ambassador stressed that Portugal is ready to support Serbia on its road to the EU and with its experience help it to solve current issues.
Special emphasis was put on the social position of the Roma in Serbia, considering that Portugal was in a similar situation which it systematically and successfully resolved.
During the meeting they also discussed the immigrant integration process and concluded there is room for joint actions between the two countries in many areas, concludes the statement.
