He added that the gathering is an opportunity to show that Serbia is a part of Europe not only in a political sense, but also regarding the process of modernizing society.
He said that he informed participants of the forum that the Serbian government will soon adopt the Strategy on the development of an information society that is fully based on the comparative experiences of EU countries, especially countries that have gone through the process of transition.
He expects that in the upcoming month the strategy of reforms in the development of an information society in Serbia will be adopted. It will then be possible to start an intense process of implementing the information technology strategy.
According to Loncar, this will allow the implementation of information and communication technology to be more than just the basis of development and modernization of public administration in Serbia, and will make it the basis for reforming Serbian society as a whole.
