Strategy for solving problems of refugees in Serbia until 2020 adopted

The Serbian government adopted at its session today a strategy for resolving the issues of refugees and internally displaced persons in Serbia until 2020.
The objectives of the strategy are to provide conditions for the return of refugees, as well as to enable local integration of those who have chosen to live in Serbia.
In addition, the strategy envisages improvement of living conditions of internally displaced persons.
Serbian citizenship and identity documents, from 1991 until today, has been acquired by more than 300 thousand refugees.
There are 204 thousand internally displaced persons from Kosovo-Metohija in the territory of central Serbia.
The government also adopted the Bill on the conversion of usage rights into ownership rights over construction land with a fee, which is the most important goal of the completion of ownership transformation in this area.
