The Serbian government has said that General Vinko Pandurevic, after a conversation with Minister of Justice Zoran Stojkovic, decided to go to The Hague Tribunal voluntarily and in that way help his people.
General Pandurevic said that meeting this obligation is in the interest of the state, the people, as well as his own family and that he does not want the entire population to be held hostage because of him.
The Serbian government and the Republika Srpska government have cooperated well in these cases, resulting in the general’s decision to go to The Hague voluntarily.
The Serbian government and the Republika Srpska government agree that General Pandurevic’s decision is moral, honourable, and responsible and in the best interest of the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro and Republika Srpska.
The two governments will continue their cooperation in meeting international obligations towards the tribunal.
General Vinko Pandurevic will travel to The Hague on Wednesday, March 23.
