Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivan Mrkic filed a report today before the foreign affairs committee of the National Assembly on the work of the ministry, and pointed out that the Serbian diplomacy responded to the tasks set by the government.

Mrkic told reporters after the meeting that the main foreign policy priorities of Serbia will be to get closer to the EU, territorial integrity and sovereignty, good relations in the region, especially with neighbours and good relations with the most powerful countries in the world.
We got a lot of useful suggestions and proposals to be adopted , he said noting that the parliament and the ministry need to collaborate more closely.
The Minister also said that he expects the European Commission's report on Serbia's progress towards the EU to be positive , adding that there is no reason for accession negotiations with the EU not to start in December.
