Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Miroljub Labus and Macedonian Prime Minister Vlado Buckovski talked today in Skopje about strengthening economic cooperation, European integration and concrete projects that will boost the two countries' economies.

Labus and Buckovski also talked about two business forums focusing on encouraging economic cooperation and trade that will be held in Belgrade and Skopje by the end of the year.
Labus and Buckovski agreed during today's meeting that the two republics can improve cooperation in the field of infrastructure development and agroindustry. They looked at several infrastructure projects, especially the reconstruction of the southern portion of the road from Leskovac to the Macedonian border. The Macedonian Prime Minister said that his country is willing to take part in that project together with Serbia.
The Serbian Deputy Prime Minister said that there are plans to complete the southern and eastern part of the road from Leskovac to the Macedonian border and from Nis to the Bulgarian border and added that in future talks with neighbouring countries’ representatives, the possibilities for the realisation of these projects will become more evident.
The two-day summit "Forum for Boosting Cooperation" held in Skopje gathered heads of states and governments of the countries of southeastern Europe and thus sent a clear message that the time of conflicts has past and that the period of cooperation is coming, which will significantly reduce political and economic risks and increase the level of investment.
